The team of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has started pre-election monitoring in Kalikot, Jumla and Mugu districts.
The team led by member of NHRC Govinda Sharma Paudel, advocate Tika Ram Pokhrel, human rights officer Ghanashyam Bhandari including others have gathered the information from activists, journalists and members of civil society regarding pre-election human rights situation of the districts on April 3.
The monitoring was conducted to gather the information with the objective of affect that could violate the human rights of the people due to the various activities by the political parties and their sister wings during election and election campaign of local level election scheduled for May 14 next month.
