Activists and Religious leaders urges to maintain social harmony

The district’s activists, media personnel and religious leaders have urged to maintain social harmony keeping in mind that the social harmony of the district might get worst. They have urged while releasing a joint press statement on December 13.

The discussion program was held in coordination of INSEC regional office of Nepalgunj. The regional chairperson Chandra Nath Yogi of Religious social harmony forum, Maulana Abdul Jabbar of inter-religious social harmony forum, NHRC regional director Murari Kharel and INSEC regional coordinator Bhola Mahat had urged to maintain the religious harmony in the district.

The religious leaders, activist and media personnel have requested the administration and security guilds to maintain peace in the society and demanded for the investigation of the incident and managing treatment for the injured civilians in the incident.

In Matehiya VDC,  there was a clash between the villagers on December 12. In the incident, 45 years old Meneger Khan died and other 12 left injured.
