Children deprived of education due to the lack of bridge

 

Children from a remote village in Simikot of Myagdi district are deprived of going to school as there is no bridge over Myagdi river. Mudi VDC-9, Simkos is a very remote part of the district and children are deprived of education as they cannot pass the river without bridge.

The fundamental rights under the sub-section  2 of section 39 of Nepal constitution states that it is the rights of children to get education, health services, sports, entertainment and overall development however children in this area are not even getting education.

Children in these area are deprived of going to school after the bridge over the Myagdi river was broken.

The District Education Office of Myagdi have announced that there are no children outside the reach of schools however these children are deprived of education.

There were issue raised previously to get permission to establish school in this VDC however the process did not move forward according to District Education Officer Dal Bahadur Thapa.

The main profession of the people in this hilly area are livestock and collection of herbs.
