Patients facing difficulties due to the lack of health professionals at Health posts

 

The patients of eastern region of Mugu, Dolpu, Kimri and Pulu, Photu, Bhie, Jima, Dhainakot, Kalai, Narthapu have complained that they are facing difficulties due to the lack of health professionals at health organizations.

Urgen lama of Dolpu VDC-9 said that health professionals have not returned back to their working area even after finishing their festive holidays.

Similarly, Hyanglu, Sukadhik, Gamtha, Shrehot, Seri VDCs of western region are also facing a same problem as health professionals have not returned back yet. This has caused a problem for the patients to walk for two days to reach headquarter  just to treat a normal ailment according to local Nanda Bahadur Rokaya of Hyanglu VDC-9.

There are four posts for senior Assistant Health Workers, auxiliary Nurse, and helper in each health post of Dolpu, Mugu, Kimri and Pulu VDCs however no one has returned back to their work according to Urgen Lama.

However District Public Health Office chief Dr Saroj Adhikari said that letter has been dispatched against all the health workers to return back to their work. He added that the problem is due to the lack of monitoring system in the health posts.
