In Rolpa district, 4,383 houses are deprived of pure drinking water. As per the data from district’s clean drinking water sub division office, 44,500 houses have an access of clean drinking water however remaining household do not have access of it.
There have been no renovations of projects made 20 years ago according to sub division information Dilli Raj Neupane. He added that due to the minimum amount of budget allocation for the renovation, the project is in mess. The government has a planning to provide clean drinking water and hygiene to the people till 2017.
At about 90 percent of household in Rolpa are in access to the drinkinh water however they are deprived in consumption of clean and secured drinking water due to a very old project according to Tirtha Acharya, Chairperson of Clean drinking water and consumer’s federation.
