The district court of Makwanpur has ordered to sentence 63 years old Arjun alias Bhakta Bahadur Rana Magar of Bhainse VDC-2 for 11 years on charge of raping a 14 years old physically disabled girl. The court has also ordered compensate Rs 200,000 from the accused to the victim.
A single bench of District Court judge Krishna Ram Koirala has given a verdict on September 28 regarding the case.
The victim was raped by the accused on May 18 and he was arrested by the police on May 20 after a complaint against him was lodged by the victim at DPO on May 19.
The accused was remanded in custody since June 16 in Bhimphedi prison. On May 21, the victim underwent a health checkup at Hetauda Hospital.
