Police have arrested Ram Kumar Chettri, 38 of Hetauda sub metropolis-10 and Asha Shrestha,35 of Hetauda sub metropolis-4 on September 28 on charge of polygamy. They were arrested based on a complaint lodged by Ambika Bista, a first wife of an accused. Ram Kumar had married a second wife on September 16.
Similarly, police have also arrested Ramesh Jimba, 36 of Chatiwan VDC-4 on September 26 on charge of polygamy. He was accused of marrying a second woman Ram maya Ghalan, 30 of same place.
He was arrested based on a complaint lodged by his first wife Pabitra Jumba, 39 on September 18. Ramesh had married Ram Maya on August 19.
