In the last month, INSEC has documented 104 victims of human rights violation and abuse. Out of the 104, 80 are female and 24 are male.
In the monthly analysis (from May 15 to June 14) published on June 21, INSEC has reported that 104 people have been victimized in various incidents and there were three incidents of vandalism of schools, excavators, and vehicles.
According to the published news, Province 2 and Lumbini Province witnessed the highest number of violation and abuse. There were 24 victims each in both provinces. There were only three victims documented in Gandaki Province which is the lowest record for the month. Likewise, there were 21 victims in Province 1, 13 in Bagmati Province, 14 in Karnali Province and five in the Sudur Paschim Province.
Last month, seven women were killed. Similarly, two were injured by shooting and one was injured in a clash.
On the basis of the published news, it was discovered that 36 children were victims of the violation of child rights and 32 women were victims of women right violation.
The cases of COVID-19 infection were found to be declining by the end of the month. In the previous month, 39 percent of people were diagnosed positive with COVID-19 whereas this time 34 percent of people were diagnosed positive.
