INSEC Karnali Province Office facilitated medical counselling and first aid treatment to the endangered Raute community on June 12, 2021.
INSEC has provided food and medicines to the Raute community living at Simghat in Gurbhakot Municipality-9.
According to Narayan Subedi, Coordinator of INSEC Karnali Province Office, Surkhet, the visit was oriented to know the health problems in the Raute community. They were provided 32 rolls of cotton, 24 rolls of bandage, two bottles of Betadine (Antiseptic), 10 bottles of Moov ointment, 20 eye drops and 150 hand pluses (Handyplast) for first aid treatment.



Satya Devi Khadka, the general member of INSEC treated Manabire Shahi, 70, Karna Bahadur Shahi, 78, Ratan Bahadur Shahi, 42, and more than two dozen women and children of the Raute community. Their wounds wear cleaned and eyes and ears were treated, informed Subedi.
The program took place in the presence of INSEC Karnali Province Coordinator Narayan Subedi, Satya Devi Khadka also known as Raute’s Niece and Chairperson of Raute Endangered-Marginalized Class Upliftment Foundation Nepal, Advocate Geeta Koirala, Treasurer of District Bar Association and Tika Bista, Documentation Officer of INSEC Karnali Province Office.
