Police have arrested Durga Bahadur Tamang, 42, from the incident spot on June 3, 2021, on the charge of killing his wife Ram Maya Tamang, 40, of Dhusinechaur in Melamchi Municipality-11.
According to Inspector Tikaram Rai of the Area Police Office, Melamchi, the accused was arrested on the basis of information that Ram Maya was killed while she was sitting in the cowshed.
According to Inspector Rai, the accused had beaten the victim two days ago and evicted her from the house.
The post-mortem of the body has been done at Melamchi-based Primary Health Centre on June 3.
