District Court, Siraha has decided to adjourn the case against Kisun Mukhiya, 40, of Karjanha Municipality-3, Jayanagar, Madhuwani District, India, on March 23 on the charge of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.
A bench of Justice Dhruba Kumar Upreti passed the order. The court has stated that the case has been adjourned as the chief is still absconding after the incident.
The victim’s family had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya on March 15, 2018, accusing the chief of sexually abusing the girl.
The girl was examined at the District Hospital, Siraha on March 15. The Area Police Office, Mirchaiya has stated that the search for the accused is continuing.
