The Area Police Office of Siraha said that a 30-year-old mother Hira Lhadka of Dhangadhimai Municipality-12 has murdered her one year old daughter by throwing her in the well on September 15.
According to the police, she threw her daughter in the well and attempted to suicide by jumping inside the well. Her daughter died however the mother survived and rushed to the hospital.
She is undergoing a treatment at Ram Kumar Sarada Uma Prasad Murarka Hospital in Lahan.
The postmortem of the victim’s body was conducted in the same hospital according to the police.
DSP Raj Kumar KC of Area Police Office of Lahan said that the accused is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Hospital.
