Police have arrested Junaid Halwai, 20, of Ghositol in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan-4 on March 16 on the charge of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on February 7 alleging that the accused had taken her to a hotel on January 29 and sexually abused and beaten her.
INSEC and other organizations had submitted a letter to the District Administration Office on March 14 to search for the absconding accused and take action against them.
The victim was examined at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj on January 30.
