A complaint was filed against Nil Bahadur Basnet, 52, of Melung Rural Municipality-5 accusing him of raping a 30-year-old woman. The complaint was filed on March 10, 2021, at the district police office.
According to Inspector Ruksha Bajracharya, the victim was raped by Basnet on March 4.
The victim was examined at Charikot Provincial Hospital on March 10.
According to Inspector Bajracharya, the accused Basnet was found dead 500 meters away from his house on March 5.
