On average, 5,077 swabs are tested daily. Last week, 37,771 swabs were tested. This week, 3,006 people have been infected with COVID-19 infection. COVID-19 was diagnosed in 3,422 people last year. It is estimated that 42 people died of COVID-19 infection in one week. Last week, 53 people died of COVID-19 infection.


In Province 1,
In the past week, according to the Ministry of Health and Population, 35 people, including 23 men and 12 women, have been infected with COVID-19 in Jhapa. Similarly, in Sunsari, there were 57 people including 36 men and 21 women, in Khotang there were two infected, one man and one woman infected, in Morang there were 94 people including 62 men and 32 women, in Udaypur there were 11 men and three women infected. In Dhankuta, there were four infected including one man and three women, in Ilam, there were eight men infected, four men were infected in Panchthar. This time there were two men diagnosed in Bhojpur, four in Sankhuwasabha including three men and one woman, one man in Taplejung, one man and one woman in Solukhumbu, and three men in Tehrathum.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 228 people in Province 1 have been infected with the virus during the one week and their swabs were tested in Koshi COVID-19 Hospital, Province Public Health Laboratory, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Ghopa Laboratory, Mechi Hospital Laboratory, Kotihom Laboratory, Nobel Hospital Laboratory, Birat Hospital Laboratory, and Neuro Hospital Laboratory. The Mahalaxmi Municipality-4 of Dhankuta provided financial support of Rs 25 Thousand to a 45-year-old woman’s family for her treatment.
In Gandaki Province,
In Gandaki, an additional 318 people have been infected with COVID-19 from January 5 to 11. Of them, 206 are men and 112 are women. Besides, the total number of infected people in the province is 17,861. This week, 372 people have recovered from the COVID-19 infection. At the same time, the number of recoveries in the province is 17,345. So far, 193 people have died of the virus in the province, of which five have died this week. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 323 people are currently infected in the province. Of the active infected, 70 are in institutional isolation, 55 in ICU, and six in the ventilator.
In Karnali Province,
In Karnali, 32 people were infected with COVID-19 on January 11 and the number of those infected is 6,480. So far, 6,401 people have been cured. Twenty-six people have died from COVID-19 infection till date. One person has died this week. A week ago, the number of COVID-19 infected people in the province was 6,452. This week, 28 people have been infected.
In Sudur Paschim Province,
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, COVID-19 infection has been diagnosed in 131 people in the Sudur Paschim Province from January 5 to 11 and there are 364 active cases. On January 11, nine people were diagnosed with COVID-19 including two women. Of them, one has been infected in Achham district, one in Baitadi, one in Bajhang, three in Kanchanpur, and three in Kailali. One infected have died in the Sudur Paschim Province this week, bringing the death toll in the province to 63. As of January 11, 129 are in home isolation, three are in ICU, and two are being treated in the ventilator. To date, 14,321 infected people have been cured in the province. So far, COVID-19 has been confirmed in 14, 748 people in the Sudur Paschim Province.
