In Province 1,
In the past week, according to the Ministry of Health and Population, 66 people, including 44 men and 22 women, have been infected with COVID-19 in Jhapa. Similarly, in Sunsari, there were 72 people including 37 men and 35 women, in Khotang there were two women infected, in Morang there were 116 people including 65 men and 51 women, in Udaypur there were three men and three women. In Dhankuta, there were five infected including two male and three female, in Ilam, there were eight infected including five male and three females, two woman were infected in Panchthar, three in Okhaldhunga including two men and one woman. This time there were three men and one woman were diagnosed in Bhojpur, five in Sankhuwasabha including four men and one woman, one man in Taplejung, one man and two women in Solukhumbu, and one man and four women in Tehrathum.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 298 people in Province 1 have been infected with the virus during the one week and their swabs were tested in Koshi COVID-19 Hospital, Province Public Health Laboratory, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Ghopa Laboratory, Mechi Hospital Laboratory, Kotihom Laboratory, Nobel Hospital Laboratory, Birat Hospital Laboratory, and Neuro Hospital Laboratory.
In Gandaki Province,
In Gandaki, an additional 485 people have been infected with COVID-19 from December 22 to 29. Of them, 279 are males and 206 are females. Besides, the total number of infected people in the province is 15,915. This week, 708 people have recovered from COVID-19 infection. At the same time, the number of recoveries in the province is 16,369. So far, 184 people have died of the virus in the province, of which 45 have died this week. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 853 people are currently infected in the province. Of the active infected, 467 are in home isolation, 65 in ICU, and four in the ventilator.
Lumbini Province
A total of 553 people, including 344 men and 209 women, were diagnosed with COVID-19 infection in Lumbini province last week. A total of 204 people have been infected in the Rupandehi district last week. There was only one infected in Rukum East. The number of infected people has decreased by 92 this week as compared to the previous week. Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that men are more likely to be infected than women. So far, the death toll has risen to 229. The number of actively infected people is 653 and 27,747 have been cured.
In Sudur Paschim Province,
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, COVID-19 infection has been diagnosed in 498 people in the Sudur Paschim Province from December 22 to 29 and there are 699 active cases. The infection has been diagnosed in 100 people in the Sudur Paschim Province on December 28 itself. Of them, one have been infected in Achham district, three in Baitadi, two in Bajura, two in Doti, 31 in Kanchanpur, 60 in Kailali and, one in Dadeldhura. Four infected people have died in the Sudur Paschim Province this week, bringing the death toll in the province to 58. As of December 29, 406 are in home isolation, two are in ICU, and one is being treated in the ventilator. Till date, 13,442 infected people have been cured in the province. So far, COVID-19 has been confirmed in 14, 270 people in the Sudur Paschim Province.
