Journalist Yadav Released After Five Hours, Federation Of Journalist Declares Protest

Federation of Nepali Journalists protested for 30 minutes maintaining proper social distancing at the Clock Tower of Birgunj after the police misbehaved with them when they had gone to the District Police Office (DPO) for the release of  Tiwari Yadav of Birjung Community Radio.

The protest was planned on 10 May after the Parsa Police afflicted them. They have also decided to boycott the news related to Parsa Police.

The reason behind their protest is the ignorance of the DPO Chief Ganga Pant. He had ignored the press that had gathered to interact regarding the arrest after the meeting held between DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh, CDO of Parsa and the security officers.

Yadav was arrested from the entrance of Radio Narayani FM and released after five hours. His cell phone is still with the police. Federation of Nepali Journalists of Parsa has decided to protest until action is taken against the misbehaving police.
