The District Court sentenced Ganesh Prasad Jaisi Khanal,59, of Thakurbaba Municipality-1 to four months in prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. According to District Court Registrar Kamal Ghale, the bench of District Court Judge Manoj Shrestha on 10 December found the accused guilty and issued a verdict of four months’ imprisonment, a fine of Rs 5,000 compensation of Rs 2,500 and an order to deposit Rs 200 into the Victim Relief Fund.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint with the police on 4 September, stating that the accused had sexually abused the girl on 2 September. The police arrested the accused on the same day. The victim underwent a medical examination on 4 September at Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
