Police arrested Ramesh Shahi, 21, of Subhakalika Rural Municipality-2 on May 23, on charges of raping an 18-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kalikot, on May 17, accusing Shahi of raping the victim on May 15.
The victim underwent a medical examination on May 17 at the district hospital in Kalikot.
