The police have arrested a 39-year-old man of Jhimrukh Rural Municipality-1, Pyuthan, on February 26, on charges of rapong a 16-year-old girl.
The victim’s side filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Sandhikharka, on February 25, stating that the accused had raped the victim on the afternoon of January 5, in the Timure forest area of Hanspur, Malarani Rural Municipality, while she was on her way to Sandhikharka for medical treatment.
The victim underwent a medical examination on February 25 at the Arghakhachi Hospital, Sandhikharka.
