Police arrested Prashant Karki, 32 of Barbardiya Municipality–7, Siuniya, on 2 December 2025 on the charge of raping a 69-year-old woman.
The victim’s side filed a complaint at the Baniyabhar Area Police Office on 2 December 2025, stating that the accused had raped the woman on 1 December 2025. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested, and further investigation is underway, informed Inspector Prakash Singh Karki of the District Police Office.
The victim’s medical examination was conducted on 1 December 2025 at Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
