Mahendra Aryal, 40 school operator of Saraswati Vidya Niketan English Boarding School, Panchapuri Municipality–5, was arrested by police on November 24, 2025, on the charge of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
According to the Surkhet District Police Office, the survivor’s family filed a formal complaint on November 23, 2025, alleging that the accused had lured and assaulted the minor on November 19, 2025. The accused, who had absconded following the incident, was apprehended from an area known as Bachkanda.
DSP Mohan Jung Budhathapa informed that further investigation is ongoing in accordance with legal procedures. The survivor underwent a medical examination at the Province Hospital, Surkhet, on November 23, 2025.
