Karnali Province has experienced 333 disaster incidents over a three-month period, from July 17 to October 27. According to statistics from the Karnali Province Police Office, these incidents have resulted in six deaths, 29 injuries, and one person reported missing. The disasters have caused damage to 370 physical structures and led to the death of 59 livestock. Among the districts, Surkhet recorded the highest human casualties, with three deaths and seven injuries, as well as damage to 22 physical structures.
Rukum West has recorded 79 disaster incidents resulting in two deaths ,four injuries and damage to 77 physical structures. In Jajarkot there were 69 disaster incidents, causing injuries to four people and leaving one person missing, along with damage to 81 physical structures. According to Provincial Police spokesperson Kedar Khanal, Surkhet reported 27 disaster incidents, while Dailekh experienced 35 incidents, resulting in five injuries and damage to 27 structures.
In Kalikot, 47 incidents caused injury to one person and damage to 46 structures. Salyan reported 14 incidents, with 29 structures damaged. Similarly, Jumla recorded 18 disaster incidents, affecting 18 physical structures. Likewise, over the three-month period, Mugu reported 16 disaster incidents, resulting in one injury and damage to 20 physical structures. Dolpa district experienced 13 incidents, causing one death, seven injuries, and damage to 10 structures. In Humla district, 15 incidents were recorded, leading to damage to 40 physical structures.
