Police arrested Jaya Raj Joshi (45) of Godawari Municipality-12 on 23 February 2020 accusing him of raping a 30-year-old woman. The victim was raped on 22 February while she was asleep. Victim filed complaint against the accused on 23 February at the Area Police Office.
The District Police Office of Kailali filed a case against him at the District Court on 23 February. Further investigation is ongoing, informed SI Mohan Bahadur Singh of District Police Office.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on 23 February at the Seti Provincial Hospital.
