Court has declared ten years’ imprisonment and compensation of 20 thousand rupees to Mani Raj Sahi aka Rabin, 21, of Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan- 21, Khokana on 31 December for raping a 19 years old. He was under custody for investigation before the declaration.
The declaration was made in the session of Chief Justice Mahendra Bahadur Karki informed Shrestedar Nagendra Kumar Kalakheti.
The victim was raped on 19 March 2019 and a complaint was filed against him on 20 March 2019 at the Metropolitan Police Range, Jawalakhel. He was arrested on 20 March 2019.
The victim had a health checkup on 20 March 2019 at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur. A case of forced coition was charged on him by the District Court of Lalitpur on 12 April 2019.
