Victims of “Badarmude” still seeks for Justice

The victims of Badarmude in Chitwan have complained of not getting justice even after 14 years. The former Maoist, during the armed conflict, had attacked the public bus in 2005, June 5 with a registration number Na13245 and killed 38 people along with 75 injured.

The victim’s family said that they are still waiting for the justice and complained that state has failed to address this serious issue.

Chairperson Mukti Nath Neupane of Badarmude victim’s committee showed his concern and said that the state has made mockery of the incident.

He added that the injured victims of that incident are still taking medicine and seven of them have mental illness. The state has failed to even provide treatment cost to the victims, he said.

Former chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Maoist is elected in a parliament from the constituency number 3 of Chitwan District however none of the victims were provided with justice.

Chairperson Dahal had agreed to provide justice to the victim’s family and signed the agreement paper however the pain remains as it is.

The victim’s family had organized tribute program in the name of those who lost their lives during the incident of Badarmude, 14 years ago.
