INSEC expressed its deep sorrow on a demise of former chairperson of NHRC and former Chief justice Nayan Bahadur Khatri at the age of 99 on the night of May 23. The press statement signed and released by INSEC chairperson Dr Indira Shrestha on May 24 expressed sorrow and condoled the demise of Mr Khatri.
The statement says “Late Khatri had played an important role during his tenure at National Human Rights Commission to develop capacity and expanding its identity. His contribution in the field of human rights and social justice will be remembered for a long time”.
