The District Court of Chitwan has ordered to sentence 22 years old Nabin Tamang of Rapti Municipality-11 for 13 years after finding him guilty on raping 12 years old girl. The court also ordered for the compensation of Rs 20,000 to the victim from the convict.
A single bench of District Court judge Murari Babu Shrestha had given the verdict regarding the case on May 15.
The victim was raped by an accused in 2018, October 22 and complaint against him was lodged at Area Police Office of Bhandara on October 24.
Based on a complaint lodged, he was arrested by the police on October 21. She underwent health checkup ay Bharatpur Hospital on October 25.
