The District Court of Siraha has ordered to sentence 58 years old Baidhya Nath Prasad Chaudhary of Lahan Municipality-18 for eight years after finding him guilty on raping 13 years old girl. A single bench of district court judge Devendra Poudel had given the verdict regarding the case. The court had also ordered for the compensation of Rs 2,00,000 from the convict.
The victim’s family had lodged complaint at police office in Lahan on June 5 on charge of rape on June 4. The victim underwent health checkup at Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Hospital on a same day the complaint was made.
The Area Police Office of Lahan had arrested the accused om June 5 and was presented in the court and from June 30 he was remanded in custody.
