The District Court of Udayapur has ordered to sentence 45 years old husband for three years on charge of marital rape on his 38 years old wife.
A single bench of district court judge Tejendra Prasad Sharma Sapkota had given the verdict on March 23. He was sentenced for three years after finding an evidence that he had a physical relationship with his wife without her consent.
The victim had lodged complaint against her husband at District Police Office on August 6 on charge of having physical relation without her will. The accused was arrested by the police on August 21 and the victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital on August 21.
