INSEC provincial office monitors the Human Rights Situation of the District

INSEC provincial office 5, has conducted a monitoring the human rights situation of Rupendehi district. During the monitoring, the team had interacted with the concerned authorities of the district.

Internal affairs and law minister Kul Prasad KC of province 5 stressed on systematic good governance. He added that the provincial government is very sensitive on protection and promotion of human rights.

Chief minister Thakur Prasad DC said that INSEC is playing an important role for the protection and promotion of human rights. He recommended INSEC to coordinate with provincial government and various offices to make the campaign more effective.

Simialrly, CDO Kalpana Ghimire of Rupendehi said that the District Administration Office is committed on protecting and promoting human rights.

SP Hridaya Thapa of DPO said that in recent days, the incidents of drug abuse and suicide rate is alarming in the district. He added that human trafficking is also increasing in an alarming rate in the district.

INSEC province 5 coordinator Bhola Mahat said that recently, incidents of human rights violation and abuses are increasing by non-state actor as compared to the past.
