The District Court of Udayapur has convicted 28 years old Devendra Rai of Belka Municipality-9 of raping 10 years old intellectually unable girl. He was convicted as per the new legal provision of verifying by the judge whether the accused is guilty or not.
He was remanded in custody and a single bench of district court judge Tejendra Prasad Sharma had given the verdict regarding the case. The victim was raped by the convict on August 3 and verbal complaint against him was lodged at Area Police Office of Rampur by the victim’s family.
She underwent health checkup at BP institute of health and science on August 4.
