The District Court of Dang has orderd to sentence 69 years old Buddhi Ram Thapa of Babai Rural Municipality-6 for five years after finding him guilty on raping 8 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Hemanta Rawal has given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered to compensate victim with Rs 50,000 from the convict. The convict had raped the girl on April 29 and complaint against the accused was lodged at Area Police Office of Tulsipur on April 30.
He was immediately arrested by the police. On April 30, the victim underwent health checkup at Rapti-sub regional Hospital.
