The victim’s party of 25 years old woman has lodged complaint against ward chairman Krishna Regmi of Shuklagandaki Municipality-8 on November 19 at judicial committee of the municipality against rape. He was charged of raping woman on November 2.
The Municipality however said that the victim was sent to DPO along with the application as the incident is out of the jurisdiction of the municipality.
SP Siddhi Bikram Shah of DPO said that the complaint was lodged at judicial committee however the victim has not lodged complaint at police office yet.
He added that the police can only initiate the investigation after the complaint is lodged by the victim.
