Basanti Dewan, 22 of Phidim Municipality-2 was able to get justice from the court on September 25 on a complaint lodged for divorce and with her husband Kishore Tumbapo in support from INSEC.
A single bench of District Court judge Manoj KC had given the verdict regarding the case. The victim was supported by INSEC to get divorce as per her wish. According to the verdict , the defendant Tumbapo will have to pay Rs 4,000 for 15 months along with the partition of the property as per the demand from the victim.
The victim had lodged application for justice at INSEC office on August 26, 2017. As per the application, INSEC representative Mangal Begha had organized counselling in presence of Human Rights activist, advocate and local representative.
The complaint of divorce was registered at District Court in support from INSEC ad advocate Tika Timsina after the case could not be settled in a discussion.
The victim has shown gratitude towards INSEC for its support on delivering justice to the her.
