Journo Sanju Chaudhary, 35 of BarBardiya Municipalty-5 and a chair of Tharu Journalist Federation complained that he was intimidated by Jung Bahadur Tharu,40 of same municipality-5, Sur Man Tharu,35 and Tilak Tharu,41 of the same municipality on September 13.
He was attacked on the way coming back home after reporting a program on September 13 by three accused in an inebriated state. The victim sustained broken teeth, ear and neck injuries and undergone treatment at District Hospital of Guleriya.
All accused were arrested by the police on September 14 by Area Police Office of Baniyabhar for investigation.
Rajendra Prasad Dhital,chair of FNJ Bardiya branch, chair Dil Prasad Gautam of Press Chautari Nepal and chair person Menaka Chaudhary of Press Centre released press statement and condemned the incident demanding the action against the accused.
