The District Court of Arghakhanchi has ordered to sentence 30 years old Diwas Shahi for one and half years after finding him guilty on killing 28 years old Muskan Nepali Pariyar of Rapti Rural Municipality-1 after rape. On a same incident, the court has also decided to sentence Bikram Rana , 34 of Gadhawa Rural Municipality for life along with the confiscation of his property.
A single bench of District Court judge Ram Chandra Paudel had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 2,00,000 to be provided to the victim’s family from the Nepal government .
The victim was killed after raping by the accused on March 4 at the community jungle at Satganga Municipality-8 and complaint was lodged by the victim’s family at Area Police Office on March 9.
Both accused were arrested by the police on March 16 and from March 30, they were remanded in custody.
