Patients are in crisis due to the lack of Hospital

Patients in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta east) Nawalpur are compelled to go to other districts for treatment due to the lack of hospital in the district.

This district has been established as a new district a year ago and since then there is no District hospital. Majority of patients are compelled to go to Chitwan for treatment.

To establish the district hospital has been initiated with Health Ministry however it could not be established yet according to the stakeholders.

The leaders of civil society and concerned bodies went as a delegation to the health ministry to establish Madhyabindu Community hospital and Dumkauli Primary Health Centre as a district hospital.

The hospital administration and locals of Devchuli municipality says that Dumkauli Primary Health Centre must be established as a district hospital.

East Nawalpur of Nawalparasi is a district where minimum 2 to 4 accidents occurs in average as per the data of traffick office of Nawalpur. Majority of the seriously injured patients are rushed to Chitwan according to Laxman Bahadur Shahi, Chief of Nawalpur Traffic.
