Police have arrested 42 years old Bivek Budha, an operator of Nursing Himalay orphanage Children’s home at Musikot Municipality-1 in Rukum west on May 26 on charge of operating the children’s home by not following criteria.
Buda was keeping 24 children from Jumla and nine of Rukum east by making fraud document showing they are orphans. All children were rescued by the police in coordination with human rights activists. Budha was arrested after a complaint against him was lodged at Jumla according to inspector Rishi Dhungana of DPO.
Inspector Dhungana said that he will be charged under child trafficking act. Child rights activist Manbir Oli said that the home was being operated without any criteria.
