The District Court of Panchthar has ordered to sentence 61 years old Dik Bahadur Sunuwar of Phidim Municipality-3 for 10 years after finding him guilty of killing 42 years old wife Ganga Maya Mukhiya on February 17.
A single bench of district court judge Manoj KC had given the verdict regarding the case on May 13.
The accused was remanded in custody by the court order on March 21 after the complaint was lodged against him by the victim’s acquaintance Agam Bahadur Mukhiya at District court.
Police had exhumed the body of the victim on March 4 from the field according to inspector Bigyan Basnet of DPO. The postmortem of the body was conducted at District Hospital on March 5.
