At least five hundred families in Simkot RuralMunicipality-7, Dandaphaya are deprived of clean drinking water.
The drinking water and sanitation division office had handed over one million rupees to consumers committee to make canal and due to the committee not being able to work properly, locals are deprived of drinking water. At present locals are compelled to drink contaminated water from the river.
