The district court of Dolakha has ordered to sentence four people for 11 years after finding them guilty on gang raping 14 years old girl.
A single bench of district court judge Kamal Raj Bista has given a verdict regarding the case. The court ordered to sentence 21 years old Deepak Shrestha of Melung Rural Municipality-6, 19 years old Manoj Shrestha, Rajendra Shrestha,19 and 20 years old Sanjeev Shrestha on charge of gang rape. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 50,000 each from the convicts.
The victim’s family had lodged complaint of gang rape at District Police Office on January 23 and the victim underwent a health checkup at Primary Health Centre of Charikot on a same day.
In a same incident, the court has acquitted another accused Sita Ram Shrestha, 24 of Melung Rural Municipality-6.
The accused were arrested and were remanded in custody since February 21.
