Deepika Soni of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan-8 is provided with citizenship in the name of mother after one year of court’s order.
Soni had applied for the citizenship certificate in 2016, June 21 at District Administration Office demanding to be provided in the name of her mother.
Previously she was denied for citizenship certificate in the name of mother by the administration as her father was expired. However through mandamus order she had lodged application at high court in Nepalgunj in 2017 April 9.
The bench of judges Sharanga Sunedi and Bir Bahadur Dangi had given a verdict as per the constitution and its provision. It has ordered District Administration Office to provide her with citizenship certificate.
