Kanar Chaudhary ,55 of Sarawal Rural Municipality-3 was charged for rape and was in custody in Bardhaghat. On April 10, he committed suicide by hanging himself in the police custody toilet.
He was charged of raping six years old girl three months ago and was severely beaten by the locals after the incident. Since then he was at large however police had arrested and taken him into custody on April 9. On the same day he committed suicide according to the police inspector Tek Bahadur Rawat.
After the suicide, the postmortem of the body was taken to Prithvichandra District Hospital on a same day in presence of the family members of the deceased.
