The polling of two polling centers of Rukum (West) which was postponed after the fire followed by acid attack on ballot box, is rescheduled for December 1.
On November 26, an acid was poured inside the ballot box of Ratna Basic School Polling center in Bafikot Rural Municipality-5.
Similarly, in Nepal Rastriya Secondary polling center at Aathbiskot Municipality-11, the polling was postponed after acid was poured in both proportionate ballot boxes on November 26.
The date of re-polling on December 1 was scheduled followed by the decision of Election Commission according to Chief Election Officer Tej Prasad Paudel of Rukum (West).
Meanwhile, the commission has directed the District Election Office to manage polling materials, except the ballot papers, with in the district.
The commission has directed to destroy all the ballot papers that was void during the acid attack in presence of political representatives, district administration office and concerned body.
Police had arrested two people involved in acid attack on ballot box. Police arrested Kalpana KC and Nepali congress representative Keshav Khadka on charge of their involvement in acid attack.
