In almost all rural municipalities and municipalities in Manthali, the major political parties have violated the election code of conduct by putting bigger banners and posters in public places where election commission has strictly prohibited any election campaign.
The concerned authority is silent even after a rampant violation of election code of conduct in the district.
Only few weeks ago, the political parties had committed not to violate the election code of conduct. Similarly, the local administration and office of the election officer are apathetic to take action against the violation of code of conduct.
In district headquarter Manthali, the political parties have put bigger banners and poster of the candidate. All public places are filled with posters, flags and banners.
Monitoring Officer Roshan Kumar Ghimire of Election CoC monitoring committee of Ramechhap said that the act is straight violation of election code of conduct. He said that the issue is being discussed that they will reach the conclusion soon.
