The Election commission has tightened the election code of conduct from November 6 targeting the upcoming election. Chief election officer Tejendra Prasad Sharma Sapkota led by CDO and security chief have monitored the election related activities and following of election code of conduct. The election officer said that the political parties will be cautioned if their campaign is against the code of conduct.
The team had removed flags, banner, poster and other election materials from the public places which were placed against the election code of conduct.
The chief election officer said that the campaign to stop activities against the election code of conduct has been started. He added that removing the posters and banners from the public places will continue.
The administration has made the monitoring strict after the incidents of violation of election code of conduct were rampant in the district. The commission has made clear that political parties found to be violating the election code of conduct will be charged. The commission has prohibited on using cap, vest, Gamchha with electoral symbol.
