Jay Shankar Mandal of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJPN) has filed his candidacy to the post of chairman of Rajbiraj Municipality, Ward No 15 on Tuesday quoting RSS source.
Mandal filed his candidacy after Mahanthi Thakur, 65, who was contesting to the post in local-level election scheduled for September 18, passed away last Saturday.
Voting process at Rajbiraj Municipality would take place on September 21, according to the District Election Office
