Violence and Leprosy Victim Rescued in an initiation of INSEC

Seventy Years old Gola hahi who has been kept in a den for 12 years by the villagers and her family as she suffered from leprosy, was rescued for the treatment in an continuous advocacy and initiation from INSEC.

She was rescued up to Simikot in chopper on July 9 for the treatment and on July 10 she was further airlifted to Anandaban Hospital, Tikabhairabh in Lalitpur Municipality.

She was rescued from the den with the help of chopper after no alternative transportation was available.

For her rescue, INSEC district representative Nanda Singh, team of staffs from Women Development Office, central member  Nawa Raj Mahatara from FNJ and many others had initiated for her treatment.

INSEC , District Administration Office, District Animal Service Office, District Coordination Committee, Women and Children Office, District Health Office and Women Wale fare Office of the district had provided a financial support for her rescue.

The victim Shahi is suffering from severe Leprosy and after her rescue she is happy and hopeful on getting new life.
