The Citizen’s Campaign for Clean Election (CCCE) has organized an interaction program in district headquarters of Parasi on Human rights and election on June 12.
Speaking at the program, INSEC chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel said that election is the backbone of democracy and everyone must accept it and move forward and there is no alternative for that. He added that dissatisfaction and demands can be addressed through election and INSEC is also trying hard to form commission to increase the local level .
He said that INSEC is always ready to establish the demands made by Madhesi people and committed to move forward for the rights of the people.
District judge and chief election office Kailash K.C said that the first phase of election is conducted peacefully where 76 percent of people have used their voting rights. He added that the commission is ready to hold the successful election in second phase as well. KC said that voters are eager to cast their votes and they are disappointed by postponing of the election date from June 14 to 28.
CCCE Co-chair and HURON Chairperson Indra Aryal highlighted the objective of CCCE.
Assistant chief district officer Madhav Prasad Dhungana said that the security has been maintained in the district and security personnel have been deployed in all polling centres. He committed that there will be no security lapse during the election.
